We had a very pleasant stay at the Chateau des Sablons in the Vineyard Suite. The place is delightful, and we will suggest it to all who want to have a holiday in the Loire valley.

>My family and I stayed at the Chateau des Sablons for a week in July 2008. We stayed in the three-bedroom apartment, the Coach House Suite, and had a wonderful time. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and the beds firm. The kitchen was also well equipped. The Chateau is on a gated private land with mature trees, and the owners have made every effort to create a relaxing environment. The Chateau des Sablons is very close to the highway which made it easy to travel to castles in the Loire that we wanted to see. There are many superb restaurants in the area with various price ranges. I sincerely hope we will back there soon and would strongly recommend this address.

>We would like to thank you both for making a good holiday great. Our suite was like a show house. Everything was immaculate, including the vase of fresh flowers (nice touch) on the kitchen table. As for the bed, it was huge, and ultra comfortable. We enjoyed being able to sit by the pool, or in the garden which was very relaxing, peaceful, and quiet. We found you both to be helpful, thoughtful, and wonderful hosts. Again, thank you for creating a magnificent holiday experience.

The Vineyard Suite was beautifully appointed and the “grand” bed made for a great nights sleep – the best to date.

We did take a day trip to the Loire Valley, and it worked quite well. We used a service we found on the Internet called linkparis.com. They arranged train reservations to Tours where we met a van service at the Tourist Office that took us to four different castles and returned us to the train for the evening return to Paris. It is a little pricey, but was perfect for my granddaughter and me.
