Travel Memoirs Writing Seminar: May 3rd – 6th, 2012

Write your travel memoirs while staying in an 18th century château in France’s Loire Valley.

Have you always dreamed of writing and publishing your own version of “Down and Out and Living in Paris?” Join the Every Life Is A Movable Feast travel writing workshop held this spring at the Château des Sablons in France’s historic and picturesque Loire Valley. While here, you will be inspired to start writing down your own travel experiences!

The Château des Sablons is located on the edge of Bourgueil, a medieval market town near some of the greatest castles that the Loire Valley has to offer.

The four-day workshop will be led by Margo Hammond, former book editor of the St. Petersburg Times, founder of the CREATIVE LATE BLOOMER blog, and memoir writing teacher at the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Excursions to regional wineries, Loire Valley châteaux, and the nearby studio of French author Honore de Balzac may also be arranged.

We fully enjoyed our stay in France!

We wish to thank you both for being such kind hosts. As usual, we fully enjoyed our stay in France at your Loire Valley chateau, and your Paris apartment. We ate lunch frequently at 3 Rue Rosiers which has good French food, and is very busy with locals. We also enjoyed Pierre Cardin’s art nouveau museum at his Maxim’s restaurant.

We plan to visit your New Orleans unit this spring.

Yours very respectfully,

>Menerbes was just about perfect!

>We enjoyed our stay in Menerbes at the Fountain View House very much. It was a pleasure to spend a week there and feel attached to the village. Everyone was very welcoming, and after visiting many of the villages in the area, we concluded that Menerbes was just about perfect. We also had the good fortune to have a week of perfect weather.

Thanks for giving us the opportunity to experience Menerbes.

>Thank you so much for your hospitality.

>Thank you so much for your hospitality. Your welcome was warm and sincere. The chateau was a wonderful place to stay. So wonderful that we didn’t want to leave. Thanks for your guided tour. It was great to see areas that we otherwise wouldn’t have ventured to. We have a saying in Australia, “a man’s home is his castle.” In your case it is true. We will hold many fond memories, especially the view from the Vineyard suite.
