We had a great time in NOLA!

We had a great time in NOLA!  The apartment was perfect for us – so close to Bourbon and Decatur Streets but far enough away that it was quiet at night.  Robert was wonderful the first day – meeting us at the door to the building, storing our luggage for us until the apartment was ready (our flight was an early one) and guiding us to local restaurants that were good.

The info binder you leave in the apartment is full of great info, and we used it often to decide on tours or things we wanted to visit.  We even used it to call a cab to pick us up early in the morning the day we left for the airport to come home.  We also made use of the different brochures provided, and added a few of our own of things and tours that we enjoyed while we were there.

Thanks again for making our visit enjoyable. It’s fun to see the look on our friends’ faces when we tell them that we stayed on the third floor of building that was built in the early 1800s.  Not many can say that!

We loved out stay in the Botanica Suite

We loved our stay in the Botanica Suite for our long weekend in New Orleans and will be booking with you soon for next year’s visit.  It is perfectly located in the French Quarter, just a couple of blocks from the Bourbon Street “action,” but quiet and relaxed when wanting to wind down. It made us feel like we lived in the Vieux Carre as one of the locals. The apartment was very nicely appointed in all the rooms, and it had everything we needed in the kitchen. Thank you again for creating such a welcoming home away from home.

Every aspect of our stay was delightful!

My daughter and I recently had the tremendous pleasure of staying in the Slave Quarter Suite. Honestly, we couldn’t have been more pleased. Every aspect of the stay was delightful from the helpfulness of Mr. Greathouse and his dear wife to the comfortable, clean, and picturesque accommodations.

We felt very safe at all times and particularly enjoyed the idea of coded locks instead of key locks for the doors. Parking was not as big an issue as I thought it might be. The availability of on-street parking and very reasonably priced nearby parking lots was quite convenient. We were ideally situated in the French Quarter with all the fun and merriment close, but not close enough to disturb our sleep. At no time were we disturbed by neighbors or noise.

There is a lovely courtyard and the upstairs balcony has backstairs that lead one directly to the courtyard. Downstairs is a wonderful retreat. There is a lovely living room with indirect lighting, magazines and books, and informational history about the accommodations provided by the owner. There is a large binder that offers details on any service you could want to find in the local area (restaurants, day excursions, sight seeing tours, museums, parking structures, babysitting services, etc).

My daughter and I were here for a little over a week and upon departure were sad to leave. It was our most memorable and comfortable stay in New Orleans. A huge thank you to the generous Mr. Hamilton and his more than capable, patient, efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful caretaker Mr. Greathouse. We certainly look forward to returning and also staying in his accommodations when we travel to other cities.

We really enjoyed our visit to New Orleans!

We really enjoyed our visit to New Orleans, and we felt very safe in the Botanica suite. I thought the location was perfect, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Next time we visit New Orleans we will definitely choose the same. We are also planning a visit to Paris, and we will look into the properties that you guys have there as well. Staying in the Slave Quarter suite is a great value, and provides a bit more of a unique, cozy NOLA experience.

When we arrived Robert was very helpful and accommodating. We brought our two month old baby to NOLA and they even accommodated us with a pack and play which was unexpected. We have stayed in more updated hotels in our previous trips, although we really enjoyed the charm and coziness of this place. We stayed in the Slave Quarter suite which had this great balcony that was peaceful and great for a glass of wine in the evening, and coffee in the morning. Burgundy is a quiet street, and only a short walk from the galleries on Royal and the French Quarter. Staying in the Slave Quarter suite is a great value, and provides a bit more of a unique, cozy NOLA experience.

We had a great time in NOLA, and enjoyed staying in the Slave Quarter Suite. It is nice, quiet, and so close to everything. We were very happy to be just a couple of the visitors helping NOLA rebuild after Katrina. We had some good conversations with the locals, and heard many stories about the storm and the tough days afterwards.  The city has a done a great job on revival.
