Thank you for making our time in Paris so easy!

Doug and I have returned home from Paris last night after a wonderful, problem-free vacation. The Cluny apartment was perfect for us, conveniently located and charming. We were particularly grateful to have the key prior to our arrival which allowed us to get in straight away and rest. Thanks again for making our time in Paris so easy.

We were all so happy in the Garden Suite!

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay at Chateau des Sablons. Tom, the boys and I were all so happy in the Garden Suite – comfy beds, Apple TV, the pool, our outside table, and Charlemagne of course. Thank you for your recommendations of places to visit and/or eat. We loved visiting the chateaux, the villages, and absolutely loved our last day biking around the vineyards. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore further afield (and taste more wine).

Specifically:

  • I really liked having all the rules in the concierge book rather than in signage posted all over the property.  For example, no dire warnings posted all over the pool area, or reserved signs on the patio, etc. Everything is so much more peaceful without signs everywhere. Thank you!
  • I thought the Garden Suite was very thoughtfully decorated and equipped. It really had everything we needed including wine and milk for the coffee (and the coffee). The only thing I missed was a full length mirror, (maybe that was a good thing after two weeks in France). I love your paint colours.
  • I was surprised by how much we enjoyed having the Apple TV. After a hectic week in Paris running around, the boys were just delighted to lie in the couch and watch the Simpsons a bit. As parents, we didn’t mind the break.

We would love to come back sometime, but of course the only downside to your chateau and the Loire Valley is the distance from Vancouver.  Oh well, as Jean-Pierre suggested, we will have find a suitable anniversary or such to celebrate (in the ballroom of course).

Bonjour! We are now back in Tennessee after a wonderful vacation in France. We enjoyed our stay at The Chateau des Sablons in the Coach House Suite. We will certainly recommend you in the future.

I miss the amazing chateau and lovely Bourgueil!

I miss the amazing chateau and lovely Bourgueil!  The mornings were beautiful with the birdsong and slight breeze through the shutters.

We actually made friends with the lovely people at both Saveurs et Papillons and Rose de Pindare, and they greeted us on the streets during the Friday evening Gourmand Festival…. We dined twice at both places, and, of course, had daily cafe and patisseries at Madame Metry….

Thank you for everything, Jean-Pierre: all the tours and driving, the chateaux viewing and wine-tastings… all such fun to ride through the countryside… so very peaceful.

Thank you very much for a wonderful stay in the Coach House Suite at the Chateau des Sablons. We all had lovely time once again, and look forward to returning hopefully in the not too distant future.

Sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye before we left.  I expect you were both at the market seeing as it was a Tuesday morning. It looks as though from a slow beginning, summer has finally arrived in France!
