We were all so happy in the Garden Suite!

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay at Chateau des Sablons. Tom, the boys and I were all so happy in the Garden Suite – comfy beds, Apple TV, the pool, our outside table, and Charlemagne of course. Thank you for your recommendations of places to visit and/or eat. We loved visiting the chateaux, the villages, and absolutely loved our last day biking around the vineyards. I wish we could have stayed longer to explore further afield (and taste more wine).

Specifically:

  • I really liked having all the rules in the concierge book rather than in signage posted all over the property.  For example, no dire warnings posted all over the pool area, or reserved signs on the patio, etc. Everything is so much more peaceful without signs everywhere. Thank you!
  • I thought the Garden Suite was very thoughtfully decorated and equipped. It really had everything we needed including wine and milk for the coffee (and the coffee). The only thing I missed was a full length mirror, (maybe that was a good thing after two weeks in France). I love your paint colours.
  • I was surprised by how much we enjoyed having the Apple TV. After a hectic week in Paris running around, the boys were just delighted to lie in the couch and watch the Simpsons a bit. As parents, we didn’t mind the break.

We would love to come back sometime, but of course the only downside to your chateau and the Loire Valley is the distance from Vancouver.  Oh well, as Jean-Pierre suggested, we will have find a suitable anniversary or such to celebrate (in the ballroom of course).

We wish you a lovely Autumn,

Averill G.
and Tom, Harry, and Francis S.

We enjoyed our stay at the Chateau des Sablons in the Vineyard Suite for our recent holiday.

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at the Chateau des Sablons in the Vineyard Suite for our recent holiday.  The welcome we received, the viewing of the chateau, and the departure gift of the chocolates were very much appreciated – along with the suggestions and advice about places to visit.  We very seldom go back to the same place again for our holidays, but we shall certainly be recommending your accommodation to friends who might be visiting the area.

Kind regards,
Noel and Catherine Marie S.

We had a wonderful time at the Chateau des Sablons!

We had a wonderful time at the Chateau des Sablons in the Terrace View suite as well as in the surrounding area – thank you.

The Chateau was beautiful, and provided perfect accommodations. It suited our needs very well. We would walk into town in the morning to one of the bakeries and buy our breakfast, bring it back and sit outside at the chateau, and then eat our breakfast leisurely. It was just perfect. Rob was wonderful and helpful. When we travel to France again, we would definitely look into staying at the Chateau again, or maybe try one of your other locations!

We enjoyed the neighborhood of the Studio Eduard Jacques!

Just a quick note to tell you how nice the Studio Eduard Jacques was. We enjoyed the neighborhood. We felt safe there, and it was quiet! The king-sized bed was AWESOME! We slept very well each night after running out little feet off all day.

After eating out a couple of days, we opted to go to the market and get some food items for breakfast, as well as some sandwich supplies…. It worked out great!

One of our favorite places to hang for happy hour was Au Metro right across the street from Pernety Station. The people were very nice. We found everyone in Paris to be very nice and helpful!

Thank you again for a clean, cozy, and warm apartment to celebrate our 20-year anniversary, and my husband’s birthday!

Best,

Staying in the Slave Quarter suite is a great value, and provides a bit more of a unique, cozy NOLA experience.

When we arrived Robert was very helpful and accommodating. We brought our two month old baby to NOLA and they even accommodated us with a pack and play which was unexpected. We have stayed in more updated hotels in our previous trips, although we really enjoyed the charm and coziness of this place. We stayed in the Slave Quarter suite which had this great balcony that was peaceful and great for a glass of wine in the evening, and coffee in the morning. Burgundy is a quiet street, and only a short walk from the galleries on Royal and the French Quarter. Staying in the Slave Quarter suite is a great value, and provides a bit more of a unique, cozy NOLA experience.
